Regular Season Round 36: Ehime OV - Kumamoto V. 103-101

The most exciting game of round 36 in the B2 League took place in Matsuyama. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 4th ranked Kumamoto V. (18-17) to seventh ranked Orange Vikings (14-21) 103-101 on Friday evening. Orange Vikings shot 62.7 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Orange Vikings looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Yoshihiko Toshino (186-92) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 assists and American forward Perry Ellis (203-93, college: Kansas) who added 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Orange Vikings' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American forward Shaheed Davis (206-94, college: UCF) with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. Five Orange Vikings and four Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures. Orange Vikings maintains seventh position with 14-21 record. Kumamoto V. at the other side keeps the fourth place with 17 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
