The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Baghdad: Al Shorta (#2) and Al Kahraba (#4). Al Kahraba was smashed at home by 20 points 83-103 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Al Shorta held Al Kahraba to an opponent 0.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 0.0 percent accuracy of the winners. American guard Qyidar Davis (198-93, college: Indiana St.) fired a double-double by scoring 25 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Al Shorta (10-0) have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Al Naft. Al Kahraba at the other side keeps the fourth place with three games lost. Al Shorta is looking forward to face Nift Al-Shamal (#9) in Kirkuk in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Kahraba's supporters also look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Baghdad AL-Adhamiya.
