Second Stage Round 8: Kerman - Mahram 71-79

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kerman. First ranked Mahram faced their biggest opponent Kerman. Guests from Tehran (14-3) defeated host Kerman (10-7) 79-71. Mahram looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international swingman Saeid Davarpanah (190-1987, agency: Interperformances) scored 18 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American DaJuan Summers (203-1988, college: Georgetown, agency: BIG) chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international center Asghar Kardoust (212-1986, agency: BIG) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds and Reza Azarshah scored 16 points and 4 assists. Mahram maintains first position with 14-3 record. Kerman at the other side keeps the second place with seven games lost. Mahram will meet Khouzestan (#4) in the next round. Kerman will play against Parsa in Mashhad and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
