Important game to mention about took place in Bandar Abbass. Fourth ranked Sanaye (4-12) saved a 3-point victory at home edging much higher ranked Foolad (7-9) 80-77 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Foolad. They outrebounded Foolad 43-27 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by forward Mohammad Yazdanpanah (201-95) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks and Ukrainian center Kyrylo Fesenko (215-86, agency: BIG) supported him with 9 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 13 points and 4 assists by the former international point guard Mohammad Bahram (180-98) did not help to save the game for Foolad. Farhad Sabouri (204-91) added 16 points for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Foolad's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Sanaye moved-up to third place, which they share with Naft Abadan and Raad. Newly promoted Foolad keeps the second position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
