Rather expected game in Esfahan where 5th ranked Bandar Abbass (3-6) were crushed by third ranked Zob Ahan (7-2) 75-53. Zob Ahan outrebounded Bandar Abbass 42-30 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international center Mohammad Yousofvand (207-96, agency: BIG) nailed 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American swingman Devin Sweetney (198-87, college: SFU) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds. Guinean center Oumar Barry (211, college: SJSU) came up with 7 points and 11 rebounds and Eshagh Hatamifar added 8 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Bandar Abbass in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Zob Ahan have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Naft Abadan. Bandar Abbass lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with six games lost.
