Worth to mention about the upset in a game betweenRajawali (6-7) and Borneo (4-8), which took place in Pontianak. Higher ranked Rajawali lost to eleventh ranked Borneo in a road game 86-100 on Wednesday. Borneo looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Rajawali 's players. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Michael Qualls (197-1994, college: Arkansas) who led the winners and scored 35 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Steve Taylor Jr (206-1993, college: Toledo) accounted for 16 points, 18 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Four Borneo players scored in double figures. Danish-Ivorian center Jonas Zohore (210-1991, agency: BIG) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Patrick McGlynn (188-1992, college: URI) added 26 points (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) respectively for Rajawali in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Borneo have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eleventh place with 4-8 record. Rajawali lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost.
