There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Bali Utd. (8-12) rolled over higher ranked Bumi Borneo (10-10) in Pontianak 89-62 on Thursday. Bali Utd. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Bumi Borneo's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Bali Utd. made 7 blocks. The winners were led by American forward Dior Lowhorn (201-1987, college: USF) who scored that evening 16 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import swingman Jay Bowie (196-1992, college: Marist, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) supported him with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Bali Utd. players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 8 rebounds by center Muhammad Daffa (185-2000) did not help to save the game for Bumi Borneo. American point guard Randy Bell (193-1998, college: Dalton St.) added 11 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Bali Utd. moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Hangtuah. Bumi Borneo lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost.
