Regular Season Round 15: Bumi Borneo - WBS 59-68

Not a big story in a game when 4th placed Bumi Borneo (7-10) lost at home to second ranked WBS (9-8) 68-59 on Tuesday. Strangely Bumi Borneo outrebounded WBS 44-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Sameen Swint (193, college: GBC) who led the winners and scored 36 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds. International point guard Widyanta-Putra Teja (180-1997) accounted for 11 points for the winning side. American-Nigerian center Austin Mofunanya (198-1994, college: Pace, agency: SDJ Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Randy Bell (193-1998, college: Dalton St.) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Bumi Borneo in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. WBS maintains second place with 9-8 record having six points less than leader Satria Muda, which they share with Hangtuah. Loser Bumi Borneo keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. WBS will meet Tangerang (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bumi Borneo will play against Bima Perkasa in Sakti and hope to secure a win.
