Regular Season Round 4: Hangtuah - Tangerang 76-64

There was no surprise in Jakarta where 7th ranked Tangerang (2-2) was defeated by top-ranked Hangtuah (4-0) 76-64 on Saturday. Hangtuah dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Tangerang's 28. They outrebounded Tangerang 46-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. American LaQuavius Cotton (198-92, college: Delta St.) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Fisyaiful Amir (183-95) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Rizky Effendy (184-88) produced 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American Richard Ross (198-92, college: ODU) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Tangerang players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hangtuah have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Pelita Jaya and Dewa United. Loser Tangerang keeps the seventh place with two games lost. They share the position with Prawira and WBS. Hangtuah's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Jakarta to the arena WBS.
