Another exciting game took place in Urumqi where sixth rankedShanghai (6-5) edged by two points 7th ranked Xinjiang (5-6) 96-94 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Magic Deer. Swordfish dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Magic Deer 's 52. Swordfish brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. American point guard Chennedy Carter (175-1998, college: Texas A&M) orchestrated the victory by scoring 45 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Her fellow American import forward Ruthy Hebard (192-1998, college: Oregon) contributed with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. American forward Myisha Hines-Allen (185-1996, college: Louisville) answered with 27 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and American-Hungarian forward Beatrice Mompremier (193-1996, college: Miami, FL) added 15 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Magic Deer. Four Magic Deer players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Shanghai have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Xiamen. Xinjiang at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Wuhan.
