Not a big story in a game in Hangzhou where 20th rankedBlue Whales (1-24) were outplayed by fifth ranked Guangsha Lions (18-7) 122-81 on Wednesday. Guangsha L. dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Blue Whales 's 46. Guangsha L. outrebounded Sichuan 43-24 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guangsha L. shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. The former international guard Minghui Sun (187-1996) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners and Nigerian-American center Jahlil Okafor (211-1995, college: Duke) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Four Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. At the losing side American point guard Trae Golden (189-1991, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Slash Sports) responded with 29 points and 7 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and guard Xiaoyong Yu (189-2003) scored 10 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Guangsha L. maintains fifth place with 18-7 record. Sichuan lost fifteenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 24 lost games.
