No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Sharks (16-4) crushed 19th ranked Rockets (2-18) in Shanghai 119-93 on Sunday. Sharks looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American Jamaal Franklin (196-91, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. His fellow American import power forward Noah Vonleh (208-95, college: Indiana, agency: Pensack Sports) accounted for 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Five Sharks players scored in double figures. Serbian center Vladimir Stimac (210-87) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists and American CJ Trotter (193-88, college: S.Indiana) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Rockets in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sharks moved-up to second place, which they share with Zhejiang GB. and Guangsha L. Newly promoted Rockets keep the nineteenth position with 18 games lost. Sharks will meet Heroes (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rockets will play against Blue Whales (#16) and hope to secure a win.
