Guandong Tigers used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Shenzhen 106-81 on Saturday night. Guandong Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Aviators' 28. Guandong Tigers forced 22 Aviators turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The former international Rui Zhao (196-96) nailed 15 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and international point guard Jie Xu (183-0) accounted for 18 points and 6 assists. Four Guandong Tigers players scored in double figures. Pengyu Lu (197-1) came up with 16 points and the former international QuAn Gu (200-92) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Aviators in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Guandong Tigers will meet Eagles in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Aviators will play against Pioneers in Tianjin and hope to win that game.
