Shabab Kamran conquer the trophy

The Second Stage in D1 just ended. Host teams show no mercy winning all games.

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Sanaa: Al Ahli (#3) and Al Shorta (#5). Al Ahli (6-4) won against visiting Al Shorta (2-8) 76-70. Al Ahli maintains third position with 6-4 record having just -9 point less than leader Shabab. Al Shorta at the other side dropped to the fourth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Shaa'b Hadramout and Taleah Taiz.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kamaran. Top-ranked Shabab faced their biggest opponent Al Tilal. Host Shabab (10-0) smashed guests from Aden (8-2) 74-45. The victory marked the title for Shabab as they finished the Final Round with a perfect 10-0 record. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Al Tilal.
The game in Hadramout supposed to be also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Taleah Taiz (2-8) played at the court of sixth ranked Shaa'b Hadramout (2-8). Shaa'b Hadramout smashed Taleah Taiz 67-44 on Wednesday. Shaa'b Hadramout moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Al Shorta and Taleah Taiz. Taleah Taiz lost fifth consecutive game.


Shabab - Al Tilal 74-45

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kamaran. Top-ranked Shabab faced their biggest opponent Al Tilal. Host Shabab (10-0) smashed guests from Aden (8-2) 74-45. Shabab clinched D1 title with the victory. They won all ten games at the Final Round of the championship and conquered the trophy. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Al Tilal.
