Syria claimed the second win at the WABA Championship in Jordan. They defeated Yemen to improve at 2-3 record in the fourth place in the ladder. Yemen fell at 0-5 record after the loss. Ahmad Ishak (194-SF-86) provided 17 points for Syria who played without their scoring leading Maadanly.
Syria held Yemen to 10 points in the starting quarter to take a 7-point lead. Syria exploded with 31 points in the second frame to maintain the margin. They arrived at the interval up by 7 points 48:41. Syria stayed in control throughout the third term. Yemen scored just 15 points in the period as Syria boosted the gap to 15 points. Yemen finally outscored their opponents in the fourth stanza but could not threaten the margin. Watche Nalabandian (184-PG-83) delivered 15 points, while Hakam Abdullah (198-F-82) added 13 points for the winners. Samer Al-Asbahi (183-G/F-86) answered with game-high 20 points for Yemen. Mohammed Yaeesh (182-PG-93) netted 13 points in the loss.
