Iran U18 - Yemen U18 86:42

Iran celebrated the first win at the U18 WABA Championship in Tehran. The hosts stormed past Yemen for the win in the opener. Sajjad Mashayekhi (180-PG-94) scored 15 points to pace the winners.
Iran stunned their opponents in the opening frame. The hosts outscored Yemen 22:9. Iran kept on clearing off in the second quarter. They ensured a 46:17 halftime lead. Yemen failed to get any closer in the third stanza. Iran built a comfortable 68:31 advantage with one quarter remaining. The home team maintained the pressure in the fourth period and celebrated a well-deserved win at the end. Saleh Foroutannik netted 13 points, while Milad Azizi had 12 points in the win. Akbar Saeed responded with 11 points and 12 rebounds for Yemen. Alman Sadakah had 7 points in the loss.
