Yemen surrendered against China at the U18 Asia Championship Qualifying Round. The hosts of the tournament put up a decent fight against the favorites but had to give up at the end. The loss dropped Yemen at 2-2 record in Group F. China stayed undefeated at 4-0 record. Guo Ailun (193-G-93) led balanced effort from China with 16 points.
China started aggressively as they limited Yemen to just 3 points in the first five minutes of the encounter. China rallied to a 21:16 lead at the first break. Things went Chinese way in the second frame. They succeeded both offensively and defensively and recorded a 42:29 lead at halftime. China kept their opponents at bay throughout the third quarter. The scoreboard read 61:43 for China at the final break. Yemen scored only 8 points in the fourth period and suffered the defeat at the end. Zhu Xuhang (207-F-93) scored 12 points for China. Sabri Sadaqah (188-F-93) replied with 13 points for Yemen. Samer Abdullah (92) accounted for 10 points in the loss.
