Davion Wingate (ex Penza) is a newcomer at Surabaya Fever

Surabaya Fever (D1) strengthened their roster with addition of American guard Davion Wingate (168cm, college: FGCU). She was second best scorer at Penza in Kosovan Superliga last season where in 8 games she recorded very impressive stats: 19.6ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.9apg (top 5) and 1.1spg (in top 4). She helped them to make it to the semifinals. Wingate also played 10 games in Liga Unike where she averaged remarkable 18.1ppg, 6.1rpg, 5.0apg and 2.2spg. A very spectacular season in her career as she was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Liga Unike Second Team.
She is quite experienced player. Thanks to her pro career she managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Africa and of course North America) in seven different countries. Wingate has played previously professionally in Greece (Panathlitikos), Morocco (Majd Tanger Basketball), Serbia (Kraljevo), Sweden (Visby), Switzerland and Turkey (Yalova Vip).
Among many awards she played in the final of A-Sun Tournament in 2020. She was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Honorable Mention in 2023.
Wingate attended Florida Gulf Coast University until 2020 and it will be her fifth season as a professional player. She played also for Stony Brook University for 2 years.
