WABA Champions Cup 2018 relocated to Jordan from Iraq - 1 Year ago
West Asian Basketball Association (WABA) officials have announced that the WABA Champions Cup 2018 will be relocated to Jordan from Iraq - with the tournament dates remaining March 12-16. The WABA decided to change the hosting country of the 18th edition of the Champions Cup due to security concerns of the players in Baghdad. Iran wins WABA U16 Championship - 2 Years ago
Iran won WABA U16 Championship with 5 participating teams. Iran posted four victories in the campaign and finished with a perfect 4-0 record. In the decisive game they overcame Lebanon 70-64. Iran and Lebanon earned the tickets to the Asian qualification as 2 teams out of 5 went through. Lebanon meanwhile finished with a 3-1 record defeating Jordan, Syria and Iraq.   [read more]
