C.J. Jackson gets MVP of the Week award for Vietnamese VBA (by Hoops Agents)

American C.J. Jackson (185-PG-1996, agency: Blacktop Management) put on an amazing game in the last round for Nhatrang Dolphins and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
The 29-year old playmaker had a double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds, while his team edged out Heat (#1, 3-1) 85-82. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Dolphins is placed at 4th position in Vietnamese VBA. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 3 games and had just one victory. In the team's last game Jackson had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Dolphins, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ohio State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jackson is in league's top in points (3rd best: 21.3ppg), rebounds (8th best: 9.0rpg) and averages solid 54.1% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Ukrainian Dmytro Tykhonov (207-C/F-1992, agency: BIG) of Ho Chi Minh City Wings. Tykhonov impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds. Of course he led Wings to another comfortable win 95-82 over Dragons (0-2) being unquestionably team leader. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Tykhonov is one of the most experienced players at City Wings and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Damione Thomas (208-F/C-2001) of Da Nang Dragons (#6). Thomas scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds (!!!). Despite Thomas' great performance the Dragons lost 66-75 to City Wings (#3, 2-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Dragons can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 2 games. Thomas has a very solid season. In 2 games in Vietnam he scored 12.5ppg. Thomas attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
