VBA Round 1 (Regular Season): Easy game for Heat which smash Catfish by 26 points

The Regular Season in VBA just started. Host teams show no mercy winning all games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

Heat crushed at home Catfish by 26 points 90-64, which is the biggest margin this round on Friday night. Heat outrebounded Catfish 58-42 including 19 on the offensive glass. Palestinian guard Jamal Mayali (193, college: McGill) stepped up and scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and American Brandis Raley-Ross (189-1987, college: S.Carolina) chipped in 22 points. At the losing side American guard Corey Raley-Ross (192-1991, college: Buffalo, agency: Starting 5) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Heat is looking forward to face Dolphins in Nha Trang in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Catfish will have a break next round.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 1: winless Dolphins lost to undefeated Buffaloes on the opponent's court 101-111. Buffaloes outscored Dolphins in a home game 116-92. Winless Catfish lost to undefeated Heat on the road 73-93.




Buffaloes - Dolphins 111-101

Very expected game in Hanoi where Dolphins were defeated by Buffaloes 111-101 on Saturday. 24 personal fouls committed by Dolphins helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American-Dominican forward AJ Bramah (201-1999, college: Nevada) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 15 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and naturalized American point guard Lian Ramiro (180-2002, college: UAFS) chipped in 20 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side Mongolian forward Nasanbat Monkhchodor (188-2000) responded with 21 points and American power forward Makhel Mitchell (208-2000, college: UALR) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Buffaloes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dolphins will play at home against Heat and are hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
