Fourth-ranked Heat (8-7) was very close to win a game against leader Buffaloes (13-0) in Hanoi on Friday. Buffaloes managed to secure only two-point victory 89-87. However their fans expected easier game. American players dominated the game. Swingman Tamyrik Fields (198-1996, college: Augusta, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds. point guard DaQuan Bracey (180-1997, college: La Tech) contributed with 33 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds for the winners. Buffaloes' coach used entire bench in such tough game. Davon Dillard (196-1996, college: Shaw) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists for Heat. Undefeated Buffaloes have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. Defending champion Heat keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Buffaloes are looking forward to face bottom-ranked City Wings (#7) in Ho Chi Minh in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Heat will play on the road against Dragons in Danang and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Hassan Thomas helped adding 18 points and 11 rebounds. Davon Dillard (196-1996, college: Shaw) responded with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for Buffaloes. They maintain first place with 13-0 record. Defending champion Heat keeps the fourth position with seven games lost. Buffaloes will play against bottom-ranked City Wings (#7) in Ho Chi Minh in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Jermale Jones came up with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for Islanders in the defeat. Catfish moved-up to second place. Islanders lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 11 games lost. Catfish will meet Dragons (#5) in the next round. Islanders will play against Heat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 11 Dragons beat City Wings on the road 87-71.



Islanders - Catfish 86-96

The game in was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Catfish (8-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Islanders (2-11). Catfish defeated Islanders 96-86 on Thursday. Catfish looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Islanders' players. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Malek Green (201-1999, college: YSU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 44 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Filipino point guard Michael Soy (182-1997, college: Algonquin) accounted for 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side. American guard Jermale Jones (185-1986, college: Tuskegee) came up with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Filipino point guard Claude Camit (-2002) added 25 points respectively for Islanders in the defeat. Four Islanders players scored in double figures. Catfish moved-up to second place. Islanders lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 11 games lost. Catfish will meet Dragons (#5) in the next round. Islanders will play against Heat and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

City Wings - Dragons 71-87

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Dragons (7-6) beat bottom-ranked Wings (1-14) in Ho Chi Minh 87-71 on Saturday. Dragons forced 21 City Wings turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Karachi Edo (196-1994, college: Fresno St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 18 rebounds. His fellow American import Timothy Simmons (195-1992, college: DBU) accounted for 22 points, 10 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Edo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Dragons' coach let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international guard Khoa Dang Tran Dang (183-1997) came up with 27 points and 8 rebounds and Ukrainian forward Yevgen Sakhniuk (201-1995, college: Jefferson) added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for City Wings in the defeat. Dragons maintains fifth place with 7-6 record. City Wings lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Dragons will meet at home higher ranked Heat (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. City Wings will play against the league's leader Buffaloes and hope to win that game.
