The most important game in the last round took place in Ho Chi Minh between third ranked Heat (6-5) and seventh ranked Wings (1-10) on Sunday night. Heat was crushed by Wings on the road 73-96. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Heat. City Wings dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Heat's 38. City Wings forced 25 Heat turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Heat's players. American guard Dakota Zinser (191-1995, college: PBA) orchestrated the victory by scoring 39 points (!!!), 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Ukrainian forward Yevgen Sakhniuk (201-1995, college: Jefferson) contributed with 27 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals for the winners. The former international power forward Vinh Nguyen Huynh Phu (203-1998) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds for Heat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Wings maintains seventh position with 1-10 record. Defending champion Heat keeps the third place with five games lost. They share the position with Dolphins. City Wings are again looking forward to face higher ranked Heat (#3) in Saigon in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Heat will play at home against the league's second-placed Catfish and will have a slim chance for a victory.
