At the losing side Karachi Edo responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Catfish. They moved-up to second place. Dragons lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. They share it with Dolphins. Catfish will meet bottom-ranked City Wings (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dragons will have a break next round.

There was no surprise in Can Tho where 5th ranked Dragons (4-5) were defeated by third ranked Catfish (6-2) 86-76 on Thursday. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for forward Malek Green (201-1999, college: YSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. Guard Dajuan Madden (188-1996, college: PVAMU) helped adding 16 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Catfish players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Karachi Edo (196-1994, college: Fresno St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds and Timothy Simmons (195-1992, college: DBU) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists. Dragons' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Catfish. They moved-up to second place. Dragons lost their third game in a row.
