Green number one in Vietnam VBA for round 3 (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Malek Green (201-F-1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Can Tho Catfish, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 38 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat City Wings (#6, 0-4), the league's bottom-ranked team 76-65. Catfish maintains the 4th position in Vietnamese VBA. Catfish is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-2 record. In the team's last game Green had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Catfish, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Youngstown State University star has very solid stats this year. Green is league's best scorer averaging so far 35.3ppg. Green is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 14.5rpg) and averages impressive 56.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Tamyrik Fields (198-G/F-1996, agency: Interperformances) of league's leader Hanoi Buffaloes. Fields had a very good evening with a double-double of 37 points and 15 rebounds. It was enough for Buffaloes to edge Dolphins (3-1) 77-76. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 5 games without any defeat. Fields is one of the most experienced players at Buffaloes and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.0ppg (#8). His other stats are also decent: 9.5rpg and 3.3apg.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Karachi Edo (196-F-1994) of Danang Dragons (#5). Edo scored 29 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Dragons, leading his team to a 103-92 win against Islanders (#7, 0-5). The chances of Dragons not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Edo could try to bring Dragons' a little bit higher in the standings. Edo has individually a great season in Vietnam. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.0ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 13.7rpg (5th best). Edo attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

9. Dajuan Madden (188-G-1996) of Catfish - 13 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists
10. Chinbold Ganbat (2003) of Dragons - 23 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
