American forward Hassan Thomas (203-F-1996, college: Emporia St.) was the top scorer of the day in the world with the 37 points he had in the Vietnamese league. Thomas graduated from Emporia State University in 2019. His excellent performance made his team the Buffaloes beat the Dragons 132 to 121. He also grabbed 23 rebounds that game. Thomas is the 8th best scorer in the league averaging over 22 points and 14 rebounds per game. 7 out of the top 10 highest scorers in the league are alumni of US colleges. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe Asia and of course North America). Among many awards his team was the regular season runner-up in the Vietnamese VBA in 2024. He was selected to the AsiaBasket All Vietnamese VBA Second Team in 2024. Thomas was also selected to the AsiaBasket AllVietnamese VBA Third Team in 2023. He was selected as the Eurobasket All Portuguese Proliga Honorable Mention back in 2020.
