Keyes number one in Vietnam VBA for round 26 (by Hoops Agents)

American Forward Joshua Keyes (201-F-1995) had an amazing evening in the last round for Can Tho Catfish, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 26.
The 29-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 12 rebounds, while his team crushed Buffaloes (#2, 12-7) with 22-point margin 82-60. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Catfish maintains the 4th position in Vietnamese VBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Catfish will need more victories to improve their 11-8 record. In the team's last game Keyes had a remarkable 78.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Catfish's top player in his first season with the team. Joshua Keyes averages just after two games 28.5ppg, 10.5rpg and 4.5apg. Worth to mention Keyes played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Dominique Tham (195-C-1996) of Nhatrang Dolphins. Tham had a very good evening with a double-double of 25 points and 21 rebounds. Of course he led Dolphins to another comfortable win 94-79 over slightly lower-ranked Dragons (#5, 6-13) being unquestionably team leader. This victory allowed Dolphins to move up to 3rd position in the standings. His team's 11-7 record is not bad at all. Tham is one of the most experienced players at Dolphins and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Dolphins' star - American forward Mykal Jenkins (202-F-2000). Jenkins got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for thirteen rebounds . He was another key player of Nhatrang Dolphins, helping his team with a 94-79 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Dragons (#5, 6-13). Dolphins needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 7 lost games. Jenkins has a great season in Vietnam. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.8ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 14.8rpg (#1 in league). He also has 1.4bpg and a FGP of 60.5%.
