The most exciting game of round 24 in the VBA took place in Danang. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Wings (2-15) to fifth ranked Dragons (5-12) 96-93 in the game for the fifth place. The best player for the winners was American point guard Bryan Nguyen (178-2000, college: Alaska) who had a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!), 12 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Guard Nhan Huynh Truc (180-2002) chipped in 29 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Maurice Gordon (198-1999, college: Valdosta St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 7 blocks. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Dragons maintains fifth position with 5-12 record. City Wings at the other side stay at the bottom place with 15 games lost.

It was a good game for American forward Hassan Thomas (203-1996, college: Emporia St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Ruot Monyyong contributed with 21 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Buffaloes' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Khoa Le Khac Dang (188-2003) replied with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for Catfish. Buffaloes have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place.
