VBA Round 22 (Regular Season): Dolphins defeat Heat

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Heat (13-5) in Nha Trang on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by fourth ranked Dolphins (9-6) 94-91. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Heat. Dolphins dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Heat's 38. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dolphins made 7 blocks. American guard Dakota Zinser (191-1995, college: PBA) scored 21 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Yevgen Sakhniuk chipped in 19 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Bryan Nguyen (178-2000, college: Alaska) responded with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. Catfish maintains second position with 10-5 record having 3 victories less than leader Heat. Dragons lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 11 games lost. Catfish will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dragons will play on the road against City Wings (#6) in Ho Chi Minh and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
