Tham number one in Vietnam VBA for round 20 (by Hoops Agents)

American Center Dominique Tham (195-C-1996) had a very impressive game in the last round for Nhatrang Dolphins, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 21 points and 17 rebounds, while his team crushed City Wings (#6, 1-13) with 24-point margin 92-68. Dolphins maintains the 4th position in Vietnamese VBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Dolphins will need more victories to improve their 8-6 record. In the team's last game Tham had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Dolphins, through which he has constantly improved. Former University of Mount Olive star has very solid stats this year. Tham is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 13.4rpg), assists (7th best: 4.4apg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg and 53.6% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Ukrainian Yevgen Sakhniuk (201-F-1995) of league's second-best Can Tho Catfish. Sakhniuk had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 23 rebounds. Bad luck as Catfish lost that game 68-78 to slightly higher-ranked Heat (#1, 13-4). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Catfish still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 9-5 record is not bad at all. Sakhniuk is a newcomer at Catfish, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Dolphins' star - British forward Joe Mvuezolo (197-F-1996). Mvuezolo scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Nhatrang Dolphins, helping his team with a 92-68 easy win against slightly lower-ranked City Wings (#6, 1-13). Dolphins needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 6 lost games. Mvuezolo has a great season in Vietnam. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.8ppg (3rd best). He also has 2.1spg and 1.6bpg.

8. Mykal Jenkins (202-F-2000) of Dolphins - 15 points and 8 rebounds
9. Tam Huynh Thanh (170-PG-1999) of Dolphins - 7 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Phuc Nguyen Hoang (180-G-2003) of Dolphins - 10 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
