Max Lee Allen gets MVP of the Week award for Vietnamese VBA (by Hoops Agents)

Talented American Max Lee Allen (206-C-2002) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Danang Dragons and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 22-year old center had a double-double of 33 points and 19 rebounds, while his team outclassed Buffaloes (#3, 8-5) with 28-point margin 88-60. Dragons maintains the 5th position in Vietnamese VBA. Dragons is currently ranked second from the bottom. They need more victories to improve their 4-9 record. In the team's last game Allen had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Dragons' top player in his first season with the team. Marist College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Allen is in league's top in points (2nd best: 26.5ppg), rebounds (5th best: 12.7rpg) and averages solid 54.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Canadian forward Jevonnie Scott (201-F-2000) of league's best team Saigon Heat. Scott impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 36 points and 12 rebounds. It was enough for Heat to edge the lower-ranked City Wings (#6, 1-12) by 1 point 108-107. Of course Heat still keep the league's top spot. His team has currently 12-4 record. Scott is a newcomer at Heat and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.0ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 10.9rpg and 3.1apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Chrishon Briggs (195-F-1995) of Ho Chi Minh City Wings (#6). Briggs got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for fourteen rebounds . Despite Briggs' great performance the Wings lost 107-108 to the higher-ranked Heat (#1, 12-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. City Wings can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-12 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Briggs has individually a great season in Vietnam. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.8ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 12.9rpg (4th best). Briggs attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

10. Tim De Kok (190-F-2006) of City Wings - 8 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
