Monyyong's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

26-year old American forward Ruot Monyyong (210-F-1998) had an amazing evening in the last round for Hanoi Buffaloes and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 16.
He had a double-double of 27 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat City Wings (#6, 1-11) 96-83. Buffaloes maintains the 3rd position in Vietnamese league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Buffaloes will need more victories to improve their 7-4 record. Monyyong turned to be Buffaloes' top player in his first season with the team. University of Arkansas at Little Rock graduate has very impressive stats this year. Monyyong is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 13.9rpg) and averages solid 2.1bpg and 67.1% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was George Peterson (188-G-1995). He is American guard in his first season at Buffaloes. In the last game Peterson recorded an impressive 22 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Of course together with Monyyong he helped Hanoi Buffaloes with another comfortable win 96-83 over the lower-ranked City Wings (#6, 1-11) being unquestionably team leader. Buffaloes' 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 7-4 record is not bad at all. Peterson is a newcomer at Buffaloes and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Chrishon Briggs (195-F-1995) of Ho Chi Minh City Wings (#6). Briggs showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 13 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. Despite Briggs' great performance the Wings lost 83-96 to the higher-ranked Buffaloes (#3, 7-4). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. City Wings can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 1-11 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Briggs has individually a great season in Vietnam. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.3ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 12.8rpg (4th best). Briggs attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
