Davison number one in Vietnam VBA for round 11 (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Marquis Davison (196-G-2000, agency: Worldwide SM) had an amazing evening in the last round for Danang Dragons, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 24-year old player had a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds, while his team edged out City Wings (#6, 1-8) 85-82. Dragons is placed at 5th position in Vietnamese VBA. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 7 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Davison had a remarkable 58.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Dragons' top player in his first season with the team. Former Columbus State University star has very solid stats this year. Davison is in league's top in points (9th best: 19.3ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 13.4rpg), assists (8th best: 3.8apg) and averages impressive 2.8spg.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Chrishon Briggs (195-F-1995) of Ho Chi Minh City Wings. Briggs had a very good evening with a double-double of 31 points and 18 rebounds. Bad luck as Wings was edged by slightly higher-ranked Dragons (#5, 1-7) 85-82. This loss caused City Wings to slide to the very bottom (6) position in the standings. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Wings managed to get this year. Briggs is a newcomer at City Wings, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.9ppg (#1). He also registered 12.8 boards per game. Former California State University Bakersfield star Briggs is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Mykal Jenkins (202-F-2000) of Nhatrang Dolphins (#3). Jenkins scored 22 points and grabbed 19 rebounds (!!!). Despite Jenkins' great performance the Dolphins lost 72-85 to #2 ranked Catfish. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Dolphins needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Jenkins has a great season in Vietnam. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.0ppg (3rd best) and rebounds with 15.6rpg (#1 in league). He also has 1.5bpg and a FGP of 61.0%.
