Briggs' double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

29-year old American forward Chrishon Briggs (195-F-1995) had a very impressive game in the last round for Ho Chi Minh City Wings and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
He had a double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds, while his team edged out Heat (#1, 7-2) 79-75. Wings maintains the 5th position in Vietnamese league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 5 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Briggs had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Wings, through which he has constantly improved. California State University Bakersfield graduate has very impressive stats this year. Briggs is league's best scorer averaging so far 28.0ppg. Briggs is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 11.8rpg) and averages solid 2.2spg and 59.6% FGP. Worth to mention Briggs played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Jevonnie Scott (201-F-2000) of top-ranked Saigon Heat. He is Canadian forward in his first season at Heat. In the last game Scott recorded an impressive 19 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Bad luck as Heat was edged by the lower-ranked City Wings (#5, 1-5) 79-75. Heat managed to keep the same 1st spot in the standings. His team has currently 7-2 record. Scott is one of the most experienced players at Heat and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.2ppg (#6). He also registered 11.1 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Heat's star - forward Vinh Nguyen Huynh Phu (203-F/C-1998). Nguyen Huynh Phu scored 15 points and grabbed 19 rebounds (!!!). Despite Nguyen Huynh Phu's great performance the Saigon Heat lost 75-79 to the lower-ranked City Wings (#5, 1-5). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The last thing Heat needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 7 victories and 2 lost games. Nguyen Huynh Phu has a very solid season. In 8 games in Vietnam he scored 11.5ppg. He also has 9.3rpg, 1.9bpg and a FGP of 56.1%.
