Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 8 in the VBA took place in Ho Chi Minh. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of bottom-ranked Wings (0-5) to third ranked Catfish (4-1) 82-81 on Saturday evening. Catfish looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Ukrainian forward Yevgen Sakhniuk (201-1995, college: Jefferson) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists and American guard Dakota Zinser (191-1995, college: PBA) who added 16 points and 7 assists during the contest. American forward Chrishon Briggs (195-1995, college: CSUB) responded with 29 points and 6 rebounds. Catfish have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Dolphins. City Wings at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
VBA top team - Heat (6-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Dragons (0-6) in Saigon 88-84. The winners were led by American swingman Elijah Weaver (197-1998, college: Chicago St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Jevonnie Scott supported him with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 43 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds by American center Max Lee Allen (206-2002, college: Marist) did not help to save the game for Dragons. Defending champion maintains first position with 6-1 record. Dragons at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Heat will again play against bottom-ranked Dragons (#6) in Danang in the next round where they are favorite. Dragons will have a break next round.
