VBA Round 6 (Regular Season): Catfish hands first defeat to Dolphins

Undefeated Dolphins (3-1) recorded its first loss in Nha Trang on Wednesday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Catfish (3-1) 91-73. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Dolphins. Strangely Dolphins outrebounded Catfish 45-31 including 18 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Dakota Zinser (191-1995, college: PBA) who scored 37 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Ukrainian forward Yevgen Sakhniuk (201-1995, college: Jefferson) chipped in 6 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Dominique Tham (195-1996, college: Mount Olive) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 19 rebounds. Dolphins' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Catfish have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Dolphins. Catfish will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Dolphins will play at home against Dragons and are hoping to win this game.

Dragons will play on the road against Dolphins (#3) in Nha Trang and hope to get finally their first victory.
