Thomas' double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old American forward Hassan Thomas (203-F-1996) had an amazing evening in the last round for Hanoi Buffaloes and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had a double-double of 29 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Dragons (#6, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 98-89. Buffaloes was forced-out from the top positions in Vietnamese league. Buffaloes is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Thomas had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Buffaloes and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Emporia State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Thomas is in league's top in points (8th best: 22.5ppg), rebounds (9th best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 60.0% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Max Lee (206-C-2002) of Danang Dragons. He is a center in his first season at Dragons. In the last game Lee recorded an impressive double-double of 36 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Dragons lost that game 89-98 to Buffaloes (1-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Lee is one of the most experienced players at Dragons and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 36.0ppg (#2). He also registered 10.0 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Buffaloes' star - guard George Peterson (188-G-1995). Peterson showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists in the last round. He was another key player of Hanoi Buffaloes, helping his team with a 98-89 win against Dragons (#6, 0-1). Buffaloes needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Peterson has a great season in Vietnam. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.5ppg (5th best) and assists with 8.5apg (best passer).
