Fields number one in Vietnam VBA for round 29

American Power forward John Fields (205-F/C-1988, agency: Octagon Europe) had a great game in the last round for Warriors, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 29.
The 35-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 21 rebounds, while his team beat Catfish (#5, 6-12) 103-98. Warriors maintains the 4th position in Vietnamese VBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Warriors will need more victories to improve their 11-7 record. Fields turned to be Warriors' top player in his first season with the team. Former University of Tennessee star has very solid stats this year. Fields is in league's top in points (6th best: 24.0ppg) and averages impressive 1.2bpg and 70.7% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young international power forward Phu Vinh Nguyen (203-F/C-1998) of league's leader Saigon Heat. Nguyen had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 25 rebounds. It was enough for Saigon Heat to edge the lower-ranked Dragons (#7, 1-17) 86-82. Of course Saigon Heat still keep the league's top spot. His team has currently 14-4 record. Nguyen is well-known at Saigon Heat and is a proven leader in his second season with the team.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Warriors' star - American guard Sameen Swint (193-G-1995). Swint got into 30-points club by scoring 38 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . He was another key player of Warriors, helping his team with a 103-98 win against slightly lower-ranked Catfish (#5, 6-12). Warriors needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 7 lost games. Swint has a great season in Vietnam. After 16 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 24.9ppg (4th best) and assists with 5.5apg (5th best).
