VBA Round 30: Buffaloes lose to Dolphins in the game between Top 4 teams

Very significant was Dolphins' (#3, 12-6) victory against second-best Buffaloes (13-5) 80-72. Dolphins looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dolphins made 9 blocks. American forward Robert Sampson (203-1992, college: Georgia Tech) had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 17 rebounds and 5 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Madarious Gibbs (185-1993, college: Texas Southern) chipped in 20 points, 8 rebounds and 14 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American-Nigerian forward Udun Osakue (198-1992, college: SF State, agency: Interperformances) with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Dolphins (12-6) have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position having just two points less than leader Saigon Heat. Buffaloes at the other side keep the second place with five games lost.
VBA top team - Heat (14-4) added another victory to their record. This time they beat fifth ranked Wings (6-12) in Saigon 98-91. American swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the effort and Phu Vinh Nguyen supported him with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Even a double-double of 29 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists by Ukrainian forward Yevgen Sakhniuk (201-1995, college: Jefferson) did not help to save the game for Wings. Defending champion maintains first position with 14-4 record. Wings lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Catfish.
