Barkley's 40-point game gives him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-G/F-1996, agency: Haylett Sports) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for second-ranked Saigon Heat and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 28.
He had the game-high 40 points adding nine rebounds and five assists for Saigon Heat as his team lost the game against Warriors (#4, 10-7) 68-82. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Saigon Heat maintains the 2nd position in Vietnamese league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Saigon Heat will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 12-4 record. In the team's last game Barkley had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Saigon Heat's top player in his first season with the team. East Carolina University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Barkley is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.4ppg. Barkley is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 16.0rpg), assists (2nd best: 6.6apg) and averages solid 1.5bpg and 65.3% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Dominique Tham (195-C-1996) of Dolphins. He is American center in his 2nd season at Dolphins. In the last game Tham recorded impressive double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds. Of course Dolphins cruised to a 77-70 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Catfish (#5, 6-10). Dolphins' 3rd position in the standings has not changed. His team's 10-6 record is not bad at all. Tham is well-known at Dolphins and he already established his position as one of the team's leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to forward John Fields (205-F/C-1988, agency: Octagon Europe) of Warriors (#4). Fields showcased his all-around game by recording 20 points, nineteen rebounds (!!!) and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Warriors, leading his team to a 82-68 easy win against #2 ranked Saigon Heat in a game of the week. Warriors needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 10 victories and 7 lost games. Fields has a great season in Vietnam. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.6ppg (6th best) and rebounds with 17.5rpg (#1 in league). He also has 1.3bpg and FGP: 70.8%.
