Kentrell Barkley's triple-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

27-year old swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-G/F-1996, agency: Haylett Sports) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's best team Saigon Heat and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 25.
He recorded a triple-double of 17 points adding also 13 rebounds and 11 assists, while his team crushed Warriors (#4, 9-7) with 20-point margin 90-70. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Saigon Heat to take over top position in the Vietnamese league. Saigon Heat have a solid 12-2 record. Barkley turned to be Saigon Heat's top player in his first season with the team. East Carolina University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Barkley is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.0ppg. Barkley is in league's top in rebounds (2nd best: 16.6rpg), assists (2nd best: 6.9apg) and averages solid 1.1bpg and 63.7% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was John Fields (205-F/C-1988, agency: Octagon Europe) of Warriors. He is American forward in his first season at Warriors. In the last game Fields recorded impressive double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Warriors lost that game 70-90 to the higher-ranked Saigon Heat (#1, 12-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Warriors still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 9-7 record is not bad at all. Fields is a newcomer at Warriors and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.8ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 17.4rpg and 3.2apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Jeremy Smith (190-G-1991) of City Wings (#5). Smith got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds and eight assists. Despite Smith's great performance City Wings lost 83-93 to slightly higher-ranked Dolphins (#3, 9-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of City Wings not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 10 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Smith could try to bring City Wings' a little bit higher in the standings. Smith has individually a great season in Vietnam. After 15 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 29.2ppg (2nd best), rebounds with 9.8rpg (8th best) and assists with 4.9apg (6th best). He also has FGP: 59.2% and 3PT: 44.7%.
