Tam Dinh Thanh
Experienced Tam Dinh Thanh (192-SG-1990) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Buffaloes and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 18.
The 33-year old shooting guard had the game-high 17 points adding eight rebounds and four assists for Buffaloes in his team's victory, helping them to beat Dolphins (#3, 7-4) 88-74. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Buffaloes to consolidate first place in the Vietnamese VBA. Buffaloes have a solid 10-2 record. In the team's last game Dinh Thanh had a remarkable 70.0% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Buffaloes, through which he has constantly improved. Tam Dinh Thanh averages this season 10.7ppg and 5.2rpg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Robert Sampson (203-F-1992) of Dolphins. Sampson impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 26 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Dolphins lost that game 74-88 to slightly higher-ranked Buffaloes (#1, 10-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Dolphins still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 7-4 record is not bad at all. Sampson is one of the most experienced players at Dolphins and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.9ppg (#8). He also registered 16.5 boards per game. Georgia Institute of Technology alumni Sampson played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
The third best performed player last round was another Dolphins' star - American Dominique Tham (195-C-1996). Tham showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, eight rebounds and four assists in the last round. Despite Tham's great performance Dolphins lost 74-88 to #1 ranked Buffaloes. But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Dolphins needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 7 victories and 4 lost games. Tham has a great season in Vietnam. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.2rpg (8th best).

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
