John Fields gets MVP of the Week award for Vietnamese VBA

Experienced American John Fields (205-F/C-1988, agency: Octagon Europe) had a very impressive game in the last round for Warriors and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 15.
The 35-year old power forward had a double-double of 28 points and twenty two rebounds, while his team beat Dragons (#7, 0-9), the league's bottom-ranked team 91-82. Warriors maintains the 4th position in Vietnamese VBA. Warriors is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-5 record. Fields has many years of experience at Warriors, through which he has constantly improved. University of Tennessee graduate has very impressive stats this year. Fields is in league's top in points (6th best: 24.2ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 17.4rpg) and averages solid 70.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Jeremy Smith (190-G-1991) of City Wings. Smith impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 30 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as City Wings lost that game 93-98 to the higher-ranked Buffaloes (#2, 8-2). City Wings is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Smith is one of the most experienced players at City Wings and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.4ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 10.0rpg and 5.1apg.

The third best performed player last round was another City Wings' star - Ukrainian Yevgen Sakhniuk (201-F-1995). Sakhniuk showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the last round. Despite Sakhniuk's great performance City Wings lost 93-98 to the higher-ranked Buffaloes (#2, 8-2). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. The chances of City Wings not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 6 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Sakhniuk could try to bring City Wings' a little bit higher in the standings. Sakhniuk has individually a great season in Vietnam. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 17.0rpg (7th best) and assists with 4.0apg (7th best).
