Kentrell Barkley's triple-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

American Swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-G/F-1996, agency: Haylett Sports) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Saigon Heat, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
The 26-year old player recorded a triple-double of 24 points adding also 16 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team beat City Wings (#6, 1-2) 82-67. It allowed Saigon Heat to consolidate first place in the Vietnamese VBA. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Saigon Heat already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Barkley had a remarkable 60.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Saigon Heat, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former East Carolina University star has very solid stats this year. Barkley is in league's top in points (2nd best: 31.3ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 16.7rpg) and averages impressive 73.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American John Fields (205-F/C-1988, agency: Octagon Europe) of Warriors. Fields had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Warriors lost that game 77-82 to slightly higher-ranked Dolphins (2-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Warriors still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 2-1 record is not bad at all. Fields is one of the most experienced players at Warriors and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.7ppg (#9). He also registered 15.0 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Madarious Gibbs (185-G-1993) of league's second-best Dolphins. Gibbs got into 30-points club by scoring 35 points in the last round. He went also for fourteen rebounds and six assists. He was a key player of Dolphins, leading his team to a 82-77 win against #4 ranked Warriors. Dolphins needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost games. Gibbs has a great season in Vietnam. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.7ppg (4th best) and assists with 6.3apg (5th best).
