Kentrell Barkley's triple-double lands him Player of the Week award

26-year old swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-G/F-1996, agency: Haylett Sports) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Saigon Heat and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
He recorded a triple-double of 28 points adding also 16 rebounds and 10 assists, while his team beat Buffaloes (#4, 1-1) 85-71. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Saigon Heat is placed at 2nd position in Vietnamese league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Saigon Heat won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Barkley had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Saigon Heat and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. East Carolina University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Barkley is in league's top in points (4th best: 28.0ppg), rebounds (4th best: 16.0rpg) and averages solid 81.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jermaine Marrow (183-PG-1997) of Dragons. He is American guard in his first season at Dragons. In the last game Marrow recorded impressive 39 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Bad luck as Dragons lost that game 94-106 to Warriors (1-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Marrow is one of the most experienced players at Dragons and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 39.0ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 9.0rpg and 5.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Sameen Swint (193-G-1995) of Warriors (#3). Swint got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for five rebounds and eight assists. He was a key player of Warriors, leading his team to a 106-94 win against Dragons (#7, 0-1). Warriors has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Swint also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Swint as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
