Bell comes back to Hanoi Buffaloes, ex Yamagata

Hanoi Buffaloes (VBA) strengthened their roster with addition of experienced 38-year old American forward Michael Bell (206-102kg-82, college: FAU). It is actually his comeback to Hanoi as he has played here before. Bell played most recently at Pass lab Yamagata Wyverns in Japanese B2 League. In two games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.0ppg, 18.0rpg, 4.5apg and 2.5spg previous season. Bell also played for Zhuhai in Chinese league that season where in four ASEAN League games he averaged 12.0ppg, 10.5rpg, 3.5apg, 1.0spg and 1.0bpg.
Bell is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia and of course North America) in ten different countries. Bell has played previously professionally in Bahrain, France (Etendard de Brest), Kosovo (Trepca/AS Prishtina), Mexico (Toros), New Zealand (Harbour Heat and Stars), Qatar, Spain, Turkey (Tuborg) and Vietnam (Saigon Heat).
Among many awards Bell played in the final of Vietnamese VBA in 2018. He received also Asia-Basket.com All-Vietnamese VBA Defensive Player of the Year award in 2018.
He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at Hanoi Buffaloes.
Bell attended Florida Atlantic University until 2005 and it will be his 16th (!!!) season in pro basketball.
