VBA Round 6: Can Tho CF defeats leader HCMC W.

VBA is at the halfway of the Regular Season and there are still another 6 rounds left. Coincidentally all hosts won their games. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked HCMC W. (6-3) on the court of fifth ranked Can Tho CF on Tuesday night. Visitors were defeated by Can Tho CF 80-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of HCMC W.. It was a good game for swingman Tam Dinh-Thanh (192-95) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. American power forward DeAngelo Hamilton (203-90, college: WSU) contributed with 12 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American forward Wayne Martin (201-93, college: Tennessee St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 22 rebounds for HCMC W.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion (4-4) moved-up to third place. HCMC W. at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Can Tho CF are looking forward to face Hanoi B.
