VBA Round 2: Thang Long W. edges Hanoi B. by three points

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in VBA. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of Hanoi B. (1-4) to Thang Long W. (2-2) 64-61 on Saturday evening. The best player for the winners was American power forward Jaywuan Hill (203-89, college: SW Baptist, agency: AgainHello) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Dat Nguyen Thanh (179) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. American power forward Jameel McKay (206-92, college: Iowa St.) produced 8 points and 13 rebounds for the guests. Hanoi B.'s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Thang Long W. are looking forward to face Saigon Heat at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hanoi B. will play against Danang D. (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An exciting game was played in Can Tho. HCMC W. faced Can Tho CF. Guests from Hochiminh (5-0) smashed host Can Tho CF (1-4) 89-67. American forward Wayne Martin (201-93, college: Tennessee St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 22 rebounds. Michael Soy contributed with 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American forward Michael Vigilance (203-94, college: Clark Atlanta) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 17 rebounds for Can Tho CF. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. HCMC W. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Can Tho CF will play again on the road against HCMC W. (#1) in Hochiminh to get more than just one victory in their record.

Wayne Martin had a double-double by scoring 28 points and 23 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. HCMC W.'s coach Predrag Lukic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anthony January responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds. HCMC W. will meet at home Can Tho CF (#5) in the next round. Danang D. will play against Hanoi B. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
