    The Regular Season in VBA just ended. Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

    The most exciting game of round 10 in the VBA took place in . This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers Thang Long W. (9-5) to third ranked Saigon Heat (9-6) 84-83 on Tuesday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Tavarion Nix (201, college: Midwestern St.) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 8 rebounds. Khoa Tran Dang contributed with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals for the winners. Saigon Heat's coach Dave Singleton used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American power forward Jaywuan Hill (203-89, college: SW Baptist) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds for Thang Long W.Saigon Heat maintains third position with 9-6 record having four points less than leader Can Tho CF, which they share with Hanoi B. Defending champion Thang Long W. dropped to the second place with five games lost.
    VBA top team - Can Tho CF (13-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Danang D. (3-12) 90-77. Swingman Tam Dinh-Thanh (192-95) scored 24 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Sang Dinh-Thanh chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Zach Allmon (203, college: Vanguard) responded with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 23 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Can Tho CF have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-2 record. Danang D. lost twelfth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 12 games lost.
    The game in Hochiminh was also quite interesting. Third ranked Thang Long W. (9-5) played at the court of 6th ranked HCMC W. (1-13). Thang Long W. did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 90-72 on Thursday. Jaywuan Hill notched 34 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 26 points and 14 rebounds by Quinton Doggett did not help to save the game for HCMC W.. HCMC W.'s coach Brian Rowsom rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Defending champion moved-up to second place. HCMC W. lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost.
    The game in Danang was also worth to mention about. Fourth ranked Hanoi B. (9-6) played at the court of 5th ranked Danang D. (3-12). Hanoi B. managed to secure a 7-point victory 91-84. Michael Bell fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 18 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. Hanoi B. moved-up to third place, which they share with Saigon H. Danang D. lost twelfth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 12 games lost.



    HCMC W. - Thang Long W. 72-90

    The game in Hochiminh was also quite interesting. Third ranked Thang Long W. (9-5) played at the court of 6th ranked HCMC W. (1-13). American forward Michael Bell (206-82, college: Florida Atlantic) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 18 rebounds and 5 blocks for the winners. Naturalized Swedish guard Stefan Nguyen (190-92) chipped in 21 points. Four Hanoi B. players scored in double figures. American forward Zach Allmon (203, college: Vanguard) produced a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Chris Dierker (201, college: Madonna) added 23 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side.     VBA top team - Can Tho CF (13-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Danang D. (3-12) 90-77. Strangely Danang D. outrebounded Can Tho CF 57-42 including 16 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Can Tho CF brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Swingman Tam Dinh-Thanh (192-95) scored 24 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Sang Dinh-Thanh chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Can Tho CF players scored in double figures.
