    MICHAEL BELL

Experienced American Michael Bell (206-F-82) had a great game in the last round for Hanoi B. and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 36-year old forward had a double-double of 22 points and twenty two rebounds, while his team crushed HCMC W. (#6, 1-12) with 18-point margin 85-67. Hanoi B. maintains the 4th position in Vietnamese VBA. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Hanoi B. will need more victories to improve their 8-6 record. In the team's last game Bell had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Hanoi B.'s top player in his first season with the team. Florida Atlantic University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bell is in league's top in points (7th best: 19.9ppg), assists (8th best: 3.0apg) and averages solid 3.2bpg,2.2spg and 54.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 28-year old American power forward DeAngelo Hamilton (203-F/C-90) of league's best team Can Tho CF. Hamilton impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 18 rebounds. Of course Can Tho CF cruised to a 91-80 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Saigon H. (#3, 8-6). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Can Tho CF consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. His team lost just two games this season, while they won 12 matches. Hamilton is a newcomer at Can Tho CF and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.6ppg (#5). His other stats are also decent: 14.3rpg and 4.1apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Zach Allmon (203-F) of Danang D. (#5). Allmon got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for fifteen rebounds . Despite Allmon's great performance Danang D. lost 79-93 to the higher-ranked Thang Long W. (#2, 8-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Danang D. can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Allmon he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Allmon has individually a great season in Vietnam. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.7ppg (best scorer) and rebounds with 14.1rpg (3rd best). He also has 1.5bpg and FGP: 53.6%.

Other top performing players last week:
    4. Tavarion Nix (201-F/C) of Saigon H. - 33 points and 15 rebounds
    5. Jaywuan Hill (203-F/C-89) of Thang Long W. - 29 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
    6. Tam Dinh Thanh (192-F/G-95) of Can Tho CF - 22 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
    7. Quinton Doggett (206-F-90) of HCMC W. - 21 points and 10 rebounds
    8. Hung Dang Thai (188-PF-93) of Thang Long W. - 20 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
    9. Justin Young (197-PF) of Thang Long W. - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists
    10. Chris Dierker (201-F) of Danang D. - 23 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
